Why the terms are what they are.

Why $299/month?
We want skin in the game, not free riders. Free always sounds better than $299, but in our experience free customers don't show up for the working sessions, don't give the honest feedback, and don't stay engaged long enough for the partnership to pay off — for them or for us. $299 is enough to make the commitment real, and it's a deep discount on the $799 tier a company your size would otherwise land on. The first five companies in get $299/month; the next five get $499. The earlier you join, the better the rate — because the earliest partners take the most product risk with us.
Why 6 months?
Real cadence change takes 90+ days to show value, so six months gives us two full cycles to learn from — long enough to actually evaluate whether the partnership is working, short enough that you're not signing a year of your life away on software we're still building. A 30-day trial doesn't prove anything. A 12-month lock is a lot to ask before you've seen it work. Six months is the honest middle.
What happens after the 6 months?
You convert to standard pricing — but with a 25% loyalty discount that stays with you for the life of your company. No surprise rate hike, no penalty for being early. If you decide not to continue, you walk away with no further obligation. We give the discount permanently because the design partners are the people who made the product worth selling at all — that's worth honoring forever, not just for a year.
Why limited spots?
Because design partnership only works at small numbers. We can give 10 companies real founder time. We can't give 100. We'd rather work deeply with fewer companies and ship a product that's genuinely shaped by their feedback than spread thin and ship something generic.
What if I'm not selected?
We respond to every application within a week. If the program isn't the right fit right now — wrong stage, wrong timing, full roster — we'll tell you straight. We'll also keep you on the list for general availability pricing when we launch beyond the design partner phase.
